As per B.M. Act municipalities are to provide drinking water to its citizens. Before 1978 there was no system to supply drinking water through pipe lines. Only hand pump tube wells were there. In the year 1978 P.H.E Dept. handed over there 2 deep tube wells and 2 reservoirs and a few Kilometers pipe line to this municipality since then this ULB has developed its own network of approx 300 KM pipe line and now it operate 54 D.T.W in the year 2006 KMWSA has handed over to 8 D.T.W and one reservoir to strengthen the municipality water supply.

Rate:
- If the Annual Valuation of the Holding is up to Rs. 1200.00, Royalty Money is Rs. 800.00
- If the Annual Valuation of the Holding is more than Rs. 1200.00 and less than Rs. 3000.00 , Royalty Money is Rs. 1000.00
- If the Annual Valuation of the Holding is more Rs. 3000.00, Royalty Money is Rs. 2500.00
- The prices for the Ferrule & Stop Cock have paid by the party
- In case of Municipal Road, the Road Restoration Charge is Rs.120.00 (for the same side of the water supply pipe line) and Rs. 180.00 (for the opposite side of the water supply pipe line)
- In case of PWD Road, the Road Restoration Charge is Rs.180.00 (for the same side of the water supply pipe line) and Rs. 250.00 (for the opposite side of the water supply pipe line)
- Additional 20% of the Total Amount will have to be paid by the party as Administrative Charges
